Once a client walks through our door, their first step toward recovery often begins with the Nursing team. We are seeking an individual with a strong desire to serve as a role model, mentor, leader, and trainer for the Nursing team.

About Us:

The Bridge Behavioral Health is a nonprofit substance use and mental health treatment facility. We provide medically-monitored withdrawal, substance use and mental health respite, residential treatment, and outpatient services. With a trauma-informed approach, our multidisciplinary team works with each client to create an individualized treatment plan. We are open 24/7 and serve people regardless of their ability to pay.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete nursing assessments for new clients and utilize ASAM criteria to determine appropriate level of care. 
  • Assist clinical team with developing individual treatment plans.
  • Provide care that meets clients’ biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
  • Administer medications and withdrawal management as ordered by Medical Consultant.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients to engage in treatment after completion of withdrawal and promote improved health maintenance.
  • Educate clients on signs and symptoms of withdrawal, healthy living, managing diabetes, nutrition, smoking cessation, and medication management.
  • Perform ongoing physical assessments including CIWAs and COWS and refer patients to Medical Consultant or PCPs as needed to address medications, mental health, and physical health.
  • Meet with primary residential clients weekly.
  • Communicate with clinical team to facilitate individualized multidisciplinary care plans.

Qualifications include:

  • Active RN and CPR certification
  • Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Experience working in withdrawal, substance use, and/or mental health is preferred
