Job Summary:

As the Lead Screen Printer at Cajun Design, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the screen printing operations to produce high-quality printed materials. This position requires technical expertise in screen printing processes, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with a team. The Lead Screen Printer will work closely with the production team to ensure the efficient and precise completion of customer orders.

Responsibilities:

Screen Printing Production:

Operate and maintain screen printing machines to produce high-quality prints on various materials.

Ensure that all screen printing work meets quality standards and customer specifications.

Collaborate with the design team to set up and prepare screens for printing.

Team Leadership:

Lead and supervise a team of screen printers, providing guidance and support.

Conduct training sessions for new team members on screen printing techniques and machine operation.

Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Quality Control:

Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the screen printing process.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Cajun Design's quality standards.

Production Scheduling:

Work closely with the manager to create and manage the screen printing production schedule.

Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of customer orders.

Ink and Material Management:

Oversee inventory of screen printing supplies, including inks, screens, and substrates.

Coordinate with the procurement team to replenish supplies as needed.

Machine Maintenance:

Conduct routine maintenance on screen printing machines to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team when necessary.

Communication:

Collaborate with other departments, as well as the manager, to address any issues related to screen printing specifications or customer preferences.

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production flow.

Adherence to Cajun Design Standards:

Ensure that all screen printing work aligns with Cajun Design's branding and quality standards.

Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques when applicable.

Production Expectations:

Meeting the goals, deadlines and KPIs setout by management.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a screen printer, with a focus on leadership and supervision.

Proficiency in operating and maintaining various screen printing machines.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.47 - $22.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
