SUMMARY
Operate powered industrial truck/forklift to move pallets, materials, and finished parts to designated storage areas and work centers.
LOCATION
2nd Shift Hours: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am M-TH
2ND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL PAY EXAMPLES
SUMMARY
- Responsible for daily inspections of powered industrial truck (forklift) and general preventative maintenance
- Obtains job packet and moves material or parts using a powered industrial truck (forklift) to and from designated areas in the facility
- Responds to requests from machine operators to move materials and finished parts to the next work center
- Trusted to ensure loads are properly secured
- In down time, tasked with operating industrial polisher
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED
- Basic math, fractions, and decimals
- Understanding of precision measurement
- Ability to operate industrial equipment
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to identify varying types of materials
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires sitting for long periods, standing, bending, twisting, lifting, walking
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED
- Prefer material handling/forklift experience
