The Botanist - Acreage Holdings is Hiring a Production Inventory Technician Near Egg Harbor, NJ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary: The Inventory Receiving Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of inventory management in compliance with NJ State Regulations. This person will support the inventory manager with back of house inventory management through the execution of a variety of digital and physical daily tasks, which are vital to tracking the movement of cannabis and non-cannabis products. The successful candidate will be cross trained in all digital and physical inventory tasks to ensure the most accurate and efficient tracking and storage of products in accordance with the rules and regulations of the New Jersey medical marijuana program. The successful candidate will possess a passion for numbers and organization, demonstrates ability to work independently, has strong attention to detail in managing inventory data, and has a willingness to continually learn more about the processes of a cannabis cultivation facility.

Duties and Responsibilities (Including the following, other duties may be assigned): Directly responsible for supporting the Inventory Manager through the execution of a variety of daily tasks. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Overseeing and processing the physical receiving and storing of supplies and materials across all departments.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing Department before and after supplies land and materials are received to ensure that they correspond exactly with documented orders / packing slips.
  • Assists with the physical receipt and distribution of all supplies and materials with the Facilities’ team to the assigned departments.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory levels of cannabis and non-cannabis products – and communicates inventory action items to the inventory management team to maintain current inventory on hand.
  • Performs all necessary tasks to complete incoming deliveries and ensures all SOPs are being followed for compliance and accuracy. Escalates any issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Maintains an accurate inventory log of all approved items in the additional storage areas. Coordinates transfer of supplies and materials on a weekly or as requested basis and provides input to Production for replenishment
  • Completes regular inventory audits to verify accuracy of stock levels and identify any discrepancies; reconciles any discrepancies compliantly and in a timely manner with the use of the chosen cannabis tracking systems.
  • Documents and tracks damaged or expired items, including wasting, and reconciling as needed in coordination with the compliance manager and head of security.
  • Completes a monthly full inventory count and submits all necessary reports and documents to the Inventory Manager.
  • Ensures that all daily, weekly, and monthly counts are completed, and documents are uploaded to the proper SharePoint folder for the Inventory Manager to review. Count procedures and reports should align with all SOPs, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Supports dispensary inventory team as necessary with cannabis delivery receiving and organization.
  • Identifies and reports opportunities to efficiently streamline the receiving process for our facility, especially with the use of technology.
  • Ensures proper organization and storage of non-cannabis product to maintain appropriate levels and tracking of inventory units available.
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment in the company’s secure storage areas and other areas of inventory use.
  • Provides daily and weekly progress reports as needed to management team.

Additionally:

  • Assists the Inventory Manager as necessary with manufacturing, processing and cultivation inventory tasks as necessary.

Attends bi-weekly meetings with all inventory staff – prepare and present situational updates on processes, timelines, goals and report any issues or concerns


Basic Qualifications:

Education

? High school diploma or GED equivalent - Required

? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting or related field - Preferred

Work Experience

? Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges - Required

? Minimum 1 years of experience in inventory, warehousing, data entry, accounting or related field - Required

? Minimum 1 years of experience with Inventory Platform or related tracking system - Required

Required Knowledge:

  • Position requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel software and/or Google Sheets (i.e. formulas and tools)
  • Excellent computer proficiency and operating office equipment (i.e. printers, copiers, telephone systems)
  • Basic Math required for inventory, projections, and counts
  • Prior experience with data tracking and accuracy

  • Skill at computer systems and scanning technology
  • Skill with tracking systems; METRC and Dutchie platforms preferred
  • Ability to travel to other locations for training and/or coverage.
  • Actively participates in company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Effective multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended time standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Extended time sitting, typing and navigating computer systems
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
  • Close visual focus and reading required
  • This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to sort, label and pack
