The Bond Between (formerly Secondhand Hounds) is Hiring an Events Manager Near Minnetonka, MN

Responsibilities: The Event Manager is responsible for the organization, planning, and execution of all events across the organization.

  • Plan and execute logistics of key events (including but not limited to): 5K, Gala, Give to the Max Day Open House, Adoption Events and Community Events (presence required at major events and if a day of coordinator isn’t found for all other events). Manage the overall event schedule for the organization as well as coordinator fosters, animals and volunteers needed for each event. a. Update Google Calendar as events are confirmed if open to the public b. May require week nights & weekends
  • Volunteer Management: Train and manage a team of volunteer event coordinators who will represent SHH at the event. Recruit additional team members as needed.
  • Event Communication: Manage Events Inbox and respond to questions about event details. Communicate event details with appropriate parties at least two weeks prior and on the day of the event. a. Communication with other departments to notify of event includes: Accounting, Marketing, Volunteers
  • Partnership Deliverables: Make sure SHH partner deliverables are met to ensure continuation and growth of the partnership. a. Work with Marketing department to ensure deliverables are met
  • Puppy Parties- responsible for the planning, logistics, and execution of Puppy Party fundraisers on behalf of Secondhand Hounds.
  • Outreach: Continue outreach for new & lapsed partners to host events: fundraising or adoption a. Communicate Community Partnerships & Sponsorships b. Work with Petco & Chuck & Don’s for adoption events

Desired Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience leading fundraising/adoption events
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Gmail, Social Media
  • - Great organizational skills Preferred Experience
  • - Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations or communications
  • - Experience working in a non-profit or animal care setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $41,600.00 per year
