Job Title: Boho Hair Salon Apprentice
Reports to: Salon Supervisor, General Manager, Boho Education Director

SUMMARY

The Boho Hair Salon Apprentice embodies Boho’s culture and values. The right individual for this role is punctual, professional, and eager to support and assist the Stylists’ needs. They understand that becoming a Stylist is a journey, and on that path they are growing their artistry by daily observing, assisting and being intentional about learning new skills and techniques. The Boho Brand offers "Boho Education" - a 3 phase, tuition free, 12-18 month curriculum. The program educates an apprentice on artistic growth through social media, essential assistant skills and mastering techniques through intensive hands-on work with models, all leading to a test-out to become a Jr Stylist working on clients. This is a part time role with the possibility of moving to full time based on performance and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Sets all Stylists up for success by completing the necessary apprentice duties each day, including but not limited to, laundry, sweeping, setting up every station in the mornings, and keeping the salon clean and well kept.

● Assists all Stylists in tending to client’s needs

● Attends weekly education classes and is an active part of the mentorship program.

● Demonstrates exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with the clients.

● Educates clients on our retail products and up-sells whenever possible.

● Builds a strong social media portfolio that accurately demonstrates her services.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
● NJ cosmetology permit or license

● Availability to work evening and weekend shifts

● Attends weekly "Boho Education" classes (tuition free) taught by Owner Master Stylist educators.

● A willingness to learn, grow, and accept coaching and feedback.

● Friendly and outgoing personality.

● Strong communication skills.

● Interest in growing with a local lifestyle brand

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.13 per hour
