The Bobbitt Group, Inc. is Hiring a Preconstruction Manager - Estimator Near Raleigh, NC
- Minimum (3) years of experience in commercial construction, MEP experience a plus.
- Has been the lead Senior Estimator on several projects or significant portions of larger projects
- This position reports to the Chief Estimator.
- This position works with the Junior Estimators and Project Engineers on the project team
- Software proficiency
- Microsoft Office Suite, with high level of proficiency using Excel
- On Screen Take-off (OST) or similar digital takeoff software
- Adobe products or Bluebeam PDF Software
- Provide complete preconstruction services to our clients and operations team with minimal oversight
- Able to travel occasionally for a site visit / client meeting.
- Prepare and analyze pricing proposals to include current market and regional conditions, historical data, material escalation, internal estimate and subcontractor input in order to provide complete and accurate estimates to our clients
- Participate in the design and preconstruction phase with all stakeholders including owners, design team, consultants and Bobbitt operations to move the project into the construction phase
- Presentation and interviews with clients, including strategic preparation
- Fully understand all building systems and opportunities to control or reduce costs
- Understand construction drawings and specifications and identify missing elements to provide complete proposals
- Understand project scheduling, phasing and logistical planning of projects
- Manage and delegate responsibilities for multiple projects and deadlines
- Understand geotechnical reports
- Understand LEED Requirements
