Barista Job Description (Base Pay - $10.50 Tips= [~$12-$13])
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop and work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of retail math for cash handling purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Proficient in basic math for accurate order taking and cash handling
- Experience in the food industry or food service preferred
- Familiarity with operating a cash register and handling cash transactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
