Job Overview:
The Landscape Sitework Foreman/Equipment Operator will oversee and manage landscape sitework projects from start to finish. This role involves operating heavy equipment (Skid Loaders and Mini Excavators), installing drainage, loading trucks, shooting grades, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and loaders.
• Install drainage
• Load material and debris
• Install base material and perform compaction
• Shoot grades
• Move equipment from site to site (CDL helpful)
• Interpret and implement project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Train and mentor crew members on equipment operation and safety practices.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and materials effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the course of the project.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in landscaping, horticulture, or construction management is a plus.
• Minimum of [5] years of experience in landscape sitework and heavy equipment operation.
• Hoisting license required
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of landscape construction techniques and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is preferred.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as needed.
