High traffic consumer facing (web and mobile) platform application offering valuable services to millions of Global users making purchases on a daily basis is seeking a Lead Software Architect. The actual title is ____ Engineer, a principal/distinguished/fellow level type engineer. Around 40-50% coding to start but this will go down and eventually will be purely focused on current and future software architecture of the core platform and everything it touches. Complex architecture that involves web, native mobile applications, eCommerce, payments, b2c, b2b, many integrations with external companies moving massive amounts of data around, Python, Microservices, AWS, JavaScript, iOS, Android and lots more.
This is a critically important hire that will report directly to the CTO and will become the company's key technologist and subject matter expert. They will also play an important coaching and mentoring role by sharing best practices with other engineers and creating new opportunities for their growth. This is NOT a management position but the right person will have technical leadership experience.
This is a full-time job and 100% fully remote in the U.S. Market rate base salary - highly competitive. Compensation also includes stock options. Everything is negotiable for a great match and high level of mutual interest.
