JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Engineer provides engineering support for the Bionetics Defense Engineering Services Group (DESG). Serves as a technical resource to design, develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical systems, subsystems and components. This position requires a self-starter who is self-motivated with a strong desire to support, learn and participate across multiple projects and programs.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering;
2. Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in electrical engineering
3. Excellent English written and oral communication skills
4. Must possess good interpersonal, organizational and prioritizing skills
5. Demonstrable work history within a fast paced, demanding engineering work environment
6. Proven track record working in compliance with applicable Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Health and Environmental plans, policies and procedures
7. Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
8. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a secret security clearance
9. Must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform electrical engineering analysis and evaluation of systems, subsystems and components
• Development of technical documents, work instructions, procedures and action plans
• Perform verification, validation and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies
• Perform electrical analysis, design and simulations on products using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and circuit simulations tools
• Perform software development and applying software engineering principles for coding, debugging, verification and validation
• Provide necessary technical support and interface for reporting requirements, documentation, design reviews and engineering support services
• May develop and integrate new technologies and processes into current designs, evaluate and resolve interface problems between subsystems or subassemblies, define corrective action, and measure goals

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Normally works in an environmentally controlled work area. Frequent and prolonged computer use may be required. Some work will be in a manufacturing, repair, test, assembly environment where possible exposure to electrical, chemical and mechanical safety hazards are present.
