Assistant Marketing Manager at Beach House Group Headquarters in El Segundo, CA

MOON Oral Beauty is looking for a digital-savvy individual who is authentically connected to the brand to join their small, but mighty team of hard working, results-driven, creative and collaborative people. We are looking for someone who loves big picture thinking and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment to be the Assistant Marketing Manager. Reporting into the Brand & Marketing Director, this role will oversee influencer marketing, manage our social media agency and be responsible for supporting implementation of highly effective marketing activity to grow the brand's presence in health & wellness, beauty and oral care.

MOON is an oral beauty brand available direct to consumer as well prestige beauty retailers. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of both social, digital and consumer goods marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Marketing
    • Liaison between internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper execution of marketing initiatives, product support plans, advertising and events
    • Seek out new opportunities with relevant partners for brand and product collaborations
    • Send out a weekly performance report that captures top social, PR and influencer placements
    • Support the Brand Director on photoshoot productions - developing call sheets, producing shot lists, coordinating samples and managing bookings
    • Research marketing trends and analysis including competitive launches, social activity and advertising opportunities
    • Participate in brainstorm sessions with the team to develop fresh and engaging marketing ideas to achieve business objectives
    • Take the lead on administrative tasks across brand and marketing including organization, coordination of meetings, invoicing and department support
    • Collect and manage sample requests for internal teams and external agencies
  • Influencer Relations
    • Identify on-brand Instagram, TikTok and YouTube influencers for paid and organic partnerships that align with business objectives and budgets
    • Manage the influencer partnership cycle including outreach, rate collection, negotiations, agreements, product orders and execution of deliverables
    • Identify posting guidelines for content creation – ensuring key products, themes and brand messages are represented in posts
    • Coordinate influencer contracts with legal and brand teams
    • Develop influencer program recaps inclusive of engagement, sales, virality and follower growth
    • Secure usage rights to user-generated content that improves the digital experience
    • Nurture influencer and affiliate relationships through reoccurring product sends and brand-building events
  • Social Media & PR:
    • Deliver key brand messages, assets and materials to social and public relations agencies in partnership with retail, marketing and brand teams
    • Manage product orders for editor requests, photoshoots and VIP gifting
    • Ensure support is allocated toward product launches, promotions and brand focuses
    • Oversee approvals on the monthly social media calendar submitted by the social agency
    • Identify new content ideas, social trends and digital activations for our social agency to execute to increase brand awareness and user-generated content
    • Work alongside social agency to meet monthly engagement and follower goals
    • Develop innovative tactics to engage with social followers – encouraging brand loyalty through comments, giveaways and social features
    • Oversee community management standards – ensuring our social agency is engaging with our community through social commenting, private DMs and problem solving with customers
    • Work alongside social agency to understand learnings for future product innovation, partnerships, distribution, and marketing stories

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of direct experience in marketing, influencer relations and/or social media (beauty or personal care experience a plus)
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute
  • Comfort in an evolving, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Passion for the digital space and social media trends
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Adobe Suite

Full Time, salaried position

Salary Range: 75,000 - 85,000
