Associate Attorney

Conroe, Texas

Civil litigation firm with a busy trial docket in Conroe, Texas is seeking an attorney for substantive litigation work in one of the fastest growing legal markets in Texas. The attorney will be responsible for participating in every aspect of assigned cases, including discovery, trial strategy, summary judgment, and trial. The firm handles cases on both sides of the docket.

Typical tasks involve preparation of pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and trial briefs, will attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and participate in the trial of the case to a judge, a jury, or an arbitrator. Expect to manage 35-40 cases with a high degree of independence. While much of the work is done independently, the ideal attorney will also value the collaboration and mentorship offered at this firm. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Rules of Evidence, and desire to gain courtroom and comprehensive litigation experience.

Qualifications:

J.D., licensed to practice in Texas

Litigation Experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently

Strong knowledge of rules of procedure and evidence

Strong research and writing skills

Salary commensurate with experience. Firm offers paid vacation, paid health insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
