The Bay Family of Companies is Hiring a Procurement and Inventory Specialist Near City of Industry, CA

The Procurement and Inventory Specialist, oversees the procurement of materials and manages our inventory levels to support our operations efficiently. Candidates must be knowledgeable with and proficient in the following tasks:

Material Procurement:

  • Coordinate timely and cost-effective procurement of all materials.
  • Monitor and track deliveries, taking necessary actions to meet production needs.
  • Manage the generation of purchase orders, acknowledge receipts, and address back-ordered materials.
  • Check materials against purchase orders upon delivery.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage and maintain warehouse inventory levels.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track and monitor inventory.
  • Work with corporate inventory team on unique product stocking.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. 
  • Lead annual inventory audit for the division.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on inventory levels, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory processes.
  • Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies related to inventory management.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing.
  • Associates degree in in supply chain, purchasing or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/warehouse operations and best practices.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office /D365 software.
  • Customer oriented.
