Operations Assistant

Responsibilities

The Operations Assistant is an in-person, part-time, afterschool/evenings, and Saturday position. This individual will be responsible to successfully carry-out the operations of The Baum School of Art during the afterschool and evening classes and on Saturdays. Duties will include, but are not limited to: customer service at the front desk such as answering telephones and greeting, assisting, and registering students; basic administrative duties including using the computer, a POS, photocopier, and other basic office equipment. Assist with light cleaning ; provide classroom assistance and faculty support; occasional art supply organization and sanitization; and additional duties as assigned.

Required skills

Sills required include, but are not limited to: basic administrative skills including the use of a multi-line telephone, internet, and cloud-based systems; basic math skills and money handling; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; and basic office equipment skills, basic cleaning skills. Physical requirements include the ability to: sit, talk, and hear; walk/stand for up to 45 minutes; use steps; twist, bend, push, pull; and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

This position will report directly to the Director of Operations and Marketing. This is a part-time, in-person position.

Hours

Hours will be as follows and are subject to change as the school’s needs change:

Academic Year (September—June) Summer (July—August)

Monday–Thursday: 4:00pm–9:15pm Monday-Thursday 3:00pm—9:15pm

Saturdays: 9:00am–3:30pm

Pay Starting at $15/hour
