They are responsible for hot lunch operations, ordering camp supplies, tracking purchasing expenses, communicating with camp parents, and daily transportation. They serve as a part of the J Camps Summer Leadership Team. Length of Position:Pre-Work: Depending on availability Camp Dates: June 24th, 2024 - August 16th, 2024- approx. hours 8:15-4:45pm Staff OrientationJune 14th-11am to 5pm June 17th-12pm to 5pmJune 18th- 12pm to 6pm June 20th-12pm to 8pm- Back to Camp NightJune 21st-8:15am to 4:45pm WHAT YOU WILL DO: Responsible for communicating daily needs with the hot lunch vendor (utensils, food, drinks etc.).Communicate with parents and staff about their hot lunch needs.Assist parents with ordering hot lunch.Bulk ordering lunch items on a weekly basis.Oversee the assembly of packaged lunches.Track and oversee the purchasing of camp supplies.Communicate daily with the Program Director on supply needs for special activities and specialists.Assist with daily operations of morning and afternoon busing. Responsible for printing and putting together weekly bus binders for bus counselors.Communicate with all leadership staff regarding purchasing orders throughout each week.Work in the Camp and JCC CRM systems (CampMinder, & Salesforce) to pull reports, manage camper accounts etc. Manage hot lunch ordering system (Boonli). WHO YOU ARE:Previous experience working in a summer camp environment preferred. Must have the ability to interact with all age levels. Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate in a positive manner with parents’ staff, and campers.Salesforce experience preferred. QUALIFICATIONS:Must be 18 or older by May 2024Strong computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) etc.Bachelor’s degree or in college, preferred. PHYSICAL SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to spend time sitting and using a computer, laptop or phone. The employee may also be required to frequently be on their feet for long periods of time. The employee will be required to be outside for extended periods of time and must be able to sustain time walking in hot temperatures.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.The work environment may be fast paced and requires high energy and interaction with others. The workspace may be noisy, at times.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Benefit & Perks: J Camps offers a complimentary family membership to the Jewish Community Center from June through December 2024.
