The Ark Early Learning Center is a small non-profit business in Bellevue, WA. We are professional, creative and supportive.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and cultural understanding.
- Collaborate with parents and families to support each child's individual needs and development.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom.
Requirements:
- BA or AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Note: Experience or knowledge in physical education, tutoring, math, child welfare, or daycare is a plus.
