The Arc Western Montana is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team in supporting adults with severe developmental disabilities in our residential group home as a Direct Support Professional for our Day Shift. The DSP's role is to provide excellent care through positive, confident, and reassuring interactions with clients to assist them in living as independently as possible.

Qualifications for a DSP

• Compassionate, respectful, and reliable
• Must be at least 17 years of age or older
• Ability to pass background check requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, including electronically
• Pre-employment drug testing (in accordance with Montana State Law)
• Related caregiving experience (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate (preferred)

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Personal hygiene cares (toileting and bathing)
• Housekeeping duties
• Electronic documentation
• Medication administration
• Meal preparation, cooking and feeding
• Participates in community outings
• Monitor the health and safety of clients while they sleep
• Assist with programs (educational, skills, crafts)
• De-escalate physical & mental behaviors using Mandt training

Shifts:

• Day shifts @ 7:00am-3:00pm
• Relief

Job Type:

• Full-time: 30-40 scheduled hours per week
• Part-time: Under 30 hours scheduled per week
• Relief: on-call, flexible schedule

Pay Rate:

• $17 - $18 per hour

Sign-On Bonus:

• $300 sign on bonus for Full time new hires.
• Prorated sign on bonus for Part time new hires.
• $3000 sign on bonus for Full time new hires. **Must be an eligible driver (driving for 5 years with a clear record for 3 years) AND become medication certified within 90 days of hire.**
