The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY, a Human Services Agency, is looking to hire part-time, 1:1 Teacher Aide to support individual child/children to adjust to the classroom environment as well as assisting the child/children to function adaptively within the class day and routine. Great work life balance!

1:1 Teacher Aide Responsibilities:

• Aids individual child/children to adjust to the classroom environment as well as assisting them to function adaptively within the class day and routine.
• Consistently follows through prescribed Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Actively engages with students on a consistent basis.
• Responsible for assuring the personal safety of children in all settings throughout the day including gym and outside play.
• Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to support children in assigned classroom as well as other classrooms as needed.
• Aids the classroom teacher with daily activities.
• Maintains a good rapport with parent(s)/guardian(s) during contact in program and in the community.

Work Schedule: Monday Friday (7:30am 2:00pm) 30hrs

Education Required: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
