The Arc/Warren County Chapter, Inc. is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Near Washington, NJ

Summary

Provides consultative and clinical oversight of services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in Community Living Arrangements as well as potential cases within Community Based Supports. Consults and collaborates with other team members (i.e., physicians, therapists, etc.) working with the individual. The BCBA must fully understand and adhere to the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works with the intellectual and/or developmentally disabled population.

Develops socially-valid behavior intervention plans (BIP), which may include skill-acquisition and/or behavior reduction.

Develops and provides staff training on BIPs and provide additional training as needed.

Ensures proper execution of BIPs.

Establishes and maintains data measurement collection and analysis for consumers, and maintains proper documentation necessary for each individual.

Assists with Fee-for-Service re-assessments.

Participates in individual support plan (ISP) meetings.

Establishes on-going communication with psychiatric and mental health providers.

Compiles biographical information and create psycho-social assessments for consumers.

Maintains behavioral files for all Arc Warren consumers.

Maintains case notes for all consumers receiving behavioral services.

Coordinates with medical department on behavioral issues.

Attends residential staff meetings for behavioral related issues.

Attends monthly Manager/CLA meetings.

Assesses, monitors, and documents consumers’ treatment and goal-related information, and presents in treatment planning meetings with inter-disciplinary teams (IDT).

Conducts Crisis Management training to new staff as well as a yearly recertification training for previously trained staff.

Conducts positive behavior supports (PBS) training.

Conducts additional trainings as needed.

Uses appropriate assessment instruments (functional assessment screening tool [FAST], etc.) to assist in plan development.

Maintains continuing education units (CEUs) required by the BACB.

Abides by the standards set forth in the CCP Manual, by complying with relevant licensing and/or certification standards as well as the requirements outlined in Division Circulars 5, 18, 19, 20, and 34.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Master’s Degree or higher in education, psychology, social work, or related field. Board certified through the behavior analyst certification board (BACB). Demonstrated experience in positive behavior support and/or applied behavior analysis (ABA), and at least one (1) year working with people with developmental disabilities. Specified knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience in developing and implementing BIPs. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both written and orally to the client (i.e., the consumer, their guardian, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
