The Arc of the Quad Cities Area is searching for two Commissary Workers to join our team!

The Positions Available:

• 1st Shift, 30 hours a week.
• 2nd Shift, 25 hours a week.

This role will be working at Rock Island's Rock Island Arsenal Commissary.

As a commissary worker, your responsibilities will involve unloading goods from delivery pallets and arranging them in their respective aisles. You will also stock food and goods onto shelves, ensuring they are organized according to rotation procedures. Additionally, you must remove products from shelves based on their expiration dates and maintain a stocked case record.

Some essential qualities for this position include the ability to comprehend and follow instructions, the physical strength to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and the stamina to be on your feet for most of the day while bending and reaching. Being reliable, arriving at work prepared, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance, and exhibiting professionalism and respectfulness are crucial. Moreover, you should be willing and physically capable of working in cold temperatures, as most of the job involves entering and exiting a walk-in freezer. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided for this role.
