Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives? Do you thrive in a dynamic and supportive team environment? If so, we want you to join our team as a Job Coach Substitute. The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $19.40 per hour.

About Us: We are dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives. As a Job Coach substitute you will play a vital role in supporting a small group (usually a 1:3 ratio) of individuals at their work site. Job coach substitutes, will fill in for a regular job coach's when they are unavailable due to illness, vacation, or other reasons. The substitute job coach performs all the duties and responsibilities of a regular job coach during their absence, ensuring continuity of support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at their work site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally appropriate direct support to individuals using person-centered approaches and strategies.
  • Ensure completion of work tasks as required by the employer and/or established procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training to clients throughout the workday as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with employers and other employees at the work site.
  • Demonstrate appropriate work behaviors at all times.
  • Complete electronic documentation prior to the end of shifts.

Requirements for Success:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Immediate access to a vehicle with working seatbelts to transport participants.
  • Comfort driving a full-size van with multiple passengers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
  • High comfort in using multiple computer/mobile device programs.
  • Ability to translate employer needs to individuals with disabilities.
  • Willingness to adhere to dress and appearance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more months of prior hands-on experience with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages (English, Spanish, Tagalog).
  • Experience with electronic case management systems (e.g., Therap).
  • Experience with individual service plans and goal development.
  • Experience and comfort in handling the duties you will be teaching and supporting (e.g., food service, janitorial).
