The Arc of Placer County is a non-profit agency dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Program Aide for our Roseville Adult Center which serves adults in the Roseville area.
Under the general direction of the Program Director/Assistant Director and Program Supervisor, the Program Aide will assist clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities to develop basic skills on an individual or small group basis and do related work as required.
The person in this position must possess a great deal of empathy; must exercise careful judgment while giving individualized attention to clients in the areas of personal growth and development. This person must also provide a learning environment focused on specific subjects in a small group setting that allows for individual differences and promotes respect for the value and dignity of each client.

Physical Requirements:
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
High school graduate. Work experience in the field of developmental disabilities is preferred. Must have good social skills and be able to teach the importance of good grooming, clear communication, and functional-living skills. Must have the ability to use various forms of technology. Valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance. CPR and First Aid certification (training provided). Complete a minimum of 8 hours of on-the-job training each year.
Other Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Upon a contingent job offer, applicant must be able to obtain necessary clearances required by law, including a licensing background clearance, medical clearance and proof of clear TB. Completion of Covid-19 primary series and booster vaccinations preferred.
Classification: Regular part-time. Non-exempt. NOTE: This position has a fixed entry level starting wage.
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 9:15 am-2:15 pm with adjusted hours on Friday for staff meetings (Fridays 8:00 am-1:00 pm). 25 hours per week.
