The Arc of Camden County is Hiring a Benefits Counselor (CPWIC or WIP) Near Berlin, NJ

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years paid, related experience working with people with disabilities.
Candidate must be able to pass a high level of Security Clearance from the Federal Government.

Job Summary: Provide intensive and advocacy services to individuals with disabilities who are looking for work and who are receiving disability benefits from social Security or have questions about NJ Medicare or Medicaid programs, state or local benefits, and public or private health insurance. Provide work incentives counseling services to individuals with disabilities receiving state benefits/entitlements systems. Participate in economic development outreach activities for members of the general community, service providers, community organizations, and individuals with disabilities and family members. Provide support to the organization. They must execute their responsibilities in accordance with the agency's management philosophy and in a manner that enhances the agency's reputation and effectiveness.

If not already certified, complete required training to be certified as a Community Partner Work Incentives Counselor or Work Incentives Practitioner. Assist beneficiaries in understanding how work activity could impact their public benefits, including social Security disability payments, Medicare and Medicaid. Prepare a detailed, written Benefits Summary and Analysis as outlined in agency procedures.

Must have open availability and ability to travel by use of reliable transportation.
