The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing individualized, person-centered, skills training and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in home (group homes, individual homes and family homes) and community settings. This position strives toward ensuring every individual served is able to achieve a meaningful, satisfying quality of life.

Foggintown is an 11-bed residence set back from the road in a quiet residential neighborhood in Brewster, NY. We are conveniently located near walking trails, restaurants, and shopping areas. The individuals who live here are a mixed group of young adults and older folks who enjoy a combination of quiet relaxation and laid-back outings such as a van ride. A day at the aquarium makes for a nice afternoon and eating out in restaurants is a crowd pleaser. Fun activities are jigsaw puzzles and coloring while hanging out on the patio. We also have lunch and dinners on the patio when we BBQ. Most individuals have lived together for many years and feel like a family, but they welcome new, friendly faces. They enjoy personal attention and many benefit from hands-on assistance with personal hygiene and daily living skills. Foggintown is a great place to work if you enjoy helping people with different abilities.
