The Arc Lexington is Hiring a Communications Specialist Near Gloversville, NY

Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for making positive impact in the lives of people with development and intellectual disabilities? If you are eager to use your creative talents into meaningful work, The Arc Lexington is seeking a Communication Specialist who will create engaging marketing material, coordinate internal and external communications as well as assist with events. This position plays a crucial role in shaping and maintain a positive image for the people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and The Arc Lexington.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Lexington's website and ensure content is accurate and current.
  • Assist in developing and executing communications such as newsletters, mailings and social media updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the Communications Department

Qualifications:

  • An Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and social media platforms is required.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License meeting Agency standards is required.
