We are seeking a diligent and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing work order requests promptly, ensuring that all mechanical areas are orderly and clean, and providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms and public areas. Repairs may encompass a wide range of tasks including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, pool maintenance, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs. Additionally, this role involves maintaining room preventative maintenance schedules and keeping accurate records up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to work order requests and complete tasks within designated timeframes.

Ensure that all mechanical areas are maintained in an orderly and clean condition.

Perform maintenance repairs in guestrooms, public areas, and other designated spaces.

Address a variety of repair needs including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, pool maintenance, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.

Conduct preventative maintenance checks on rooms and facilities according to schedule.

Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including completed work orders, repairs performed, and inventory of supplies.

Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance efforts and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.

Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a hospitality environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and pool maintenance.

Proficiency in performing various maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
