An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Assistant Director/Site Supervisor in our New Windsor ELE.

Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director you will plan, develop, organize and manage the programs and services in the assigned building.

In addition to assisting the Assistant Executive Director, below are some of the responsibilities of the position:

- Schedule and participate in annual reviews.

- Manage all aspects of the IEP procedures.

- Monitors and maintain compliance with NYS Special Education Regulations.

- Evaluates teacher and other assigned school building personnel performance.

- Assists teachers in long and short-range planning and scheduling.

- Orients staff to the policies, procedures and philosophy of the school.

- Conducts staff meetings.

- Works with and assists classroom staff in the development of effective classroom discipling and organization.

- Interviews and selects teachers and other school personnel with approval from the Superintendent.

- Completes any state applications or required paperwork as needed.

- Provides on-going communication with district personnel and parents.

- Maintains proper safety standards at all times.

- Attends team meetings, staff conferences and any meeting as requested by the Assistant Executive Director.

Education: Master’s Degree in Special Education; Certified in Special Education and SBL or SAS required.
