The Arc is the largest provider of Self-Directed Services in the state of Maryland, serving over 2,500 Participant employers and their 6,000 employees with their payroll, accounting, customer service, and human resources needs. The work we do every day directly supports employers with intellectual and developmental disabilities in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice in their services.

Department Overview

As part of our Self-Directed Services team, you will support Participant employers and their teams to establish and renew their annual budgets, track their spending, pay their employees, and process reimbursements for vendors. You will work closely with people on your team, but also interdepartmentally to ensure compliance, consistency, and accuracy across all systems and processes.

Key Information & Expectations

The Stakeholder Relations team works on-site at The Arc’s headquarters in Linthicum, MD. All other positions are primarily remote; however, employees must be able to travel to The Arc’s offices once per month for in-person meetings and quarterly for the full Self-Directed Services team meetings.

All positions require a high school diploma or equivalent, though a bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field and experience working in fast-paced payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting departments would be preferred.

Positions We Are Hiring For:

• Senior Stakeholder Relations Specialist ($26.75/hour)
  • As a Senior Stakeholder Relations Specialist, you will provide first-class administrative and customer service support in processing escalated tickets related to accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting Specialist ($24.75/hour)
  • A member of the Financial Reporting team, you will perform a multitude of duties related to distributing financial reports and budget statements, processing and modifying annual budgets daily, and track budget utilization.
• Payroll Specialist ($22.50)
  • Aa a Payroll Specialist, you will work within the Payroll team to ensure a proper and timely bi-weekly participant employees payroll while assisting the Payroll team to process employee updates, rehires, terminations and communication regarding policy and procedure.
