Description

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

People are complex. We are each made of thousands of different experiences that can affect mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Here at The Arc, we take the time to understand these experiences and their relationship to behavioral health. As a Lead Behavioral Health Clinician, you will use a holistic approach to create an environment that encourages daily success for people we support.

As a licensed clinician, the Lead Behavioral Health Clinician will partner with persons served and their interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, monitor, and revise behavioral support plans and provide mental health counseling to an assigned group of people with I/DD. The Lead Behavioral Health Clinician will also provide leadership and coaching to an assigned team of Behavioral Health Licensed Clinicians and will manage the operations of one or more Behavioral Health Counseling Suites. This position is a hybrid role, with 60% clinical and 40% leadership responsibilities. The Lead Behavioral Health Clinician will partner with the Senior Director of Behavioral Health to support the continued development and growth of the Behavioral Health services.

The ideal candidate for this position will reflect The Arc’s core values, demonstrate the ability to quickly integrate into The Arc, and embrace our trauma-informed care-based therapies. Candidates must possess a master’s degree, an LCSW-C or LCPC license, at least (5) five or more years of professional experience providing behavioral supports for people with I/DD for use in community-based settings, and at least (2) two years providing management and coaching to licensed clinicians and other clinical professionals.
