The Arbors Assisted Living is currently looking to hire a Dining Room Supervisor for our dietary department.

Position Summary: Organizes plans, directs, controls, and supervises functions and personnel within the dining room area of the dietary department to ensure the provision of quality, food service and nutritional care and coordinates nutritional care of residents.

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluates and monitors food services operation; maintains standards for food proportions and quality food service.
• Coordinates dining room service and promotes positive, pleasant dining atmosphere
• Coordinates special events as requested
• Ensures that plates are accurate before they leave the kitchen area
• Corrects faulty techniques by demonstration, training and supervision. provides good supervisory environment by communicating well with dining room staff.
• Arranges and conducts on the job training for new employees
• Works with Foodservice Directors to ensure that NYS Department of Health regulations are met.
• Works with Foodservice Directors and Administrator on performing departmental evaluations
• Thinks and acts and reacts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride.
