Part Time: Three days a week from Monday to Friday, some evenings and weekends are required during refugee arrivals/agency events.
This individual is responsible for picking up the newcomers from the airport to their new residence maintaining a warehouse; setting up apartments for newly arriving refugees; purchasing and distributing food; and inventory control of all activities through the food distribution warehouse. Primarily responsible for the assessment and supplies of newly enrolled clients’ basic needs regarding resettlement, mainly food and housing. The Case Manager, in collaboration with the Logistics Case Manager/Driver, will work with clients in establishing their individual assessment/service plan and meeting their basic needs.
Main Duties Include:
The Logistics Case Manager/Driver, in collaboration with the Case Manager, will be responsible for the assessment of newly enrolled clients’ needs regarding resettlement and establishing an individual assessment/service plan for core services.
• Picking up the newcomers from the airport to their new residence
• Distribute food to newly-arrived clients
• Transportation: Assist the School Coordinator with newcomer school enrollment/ vaccination events
• Meet with clients to determine their need for items and communicate with them about deliveries of food
• Documenting deliveries of food and submit daily report
• Organize, clean, and maintain donations in the food distribution area
• Pickup and deliver donations for R&P and MG community members in coordination with the Matching Grant program Manager and R&P Manager
• Keep an accurate record of the count of food delivery
• Work closely with Vendors
• Housing (Assist in developing a plan for setting up the apartment)
• Transportation: Assist in moving clients from temporary housing to permanent housing, and client medical appointments
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Housing Program Manager
Required Qualifications and Experience at This Level:
• High School diploma/some college
• Must be over 21 years old and have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
• Must be able to read and write English and follow written instructions
• Ability to work with people from different cultures
• Candidate must be conscientious, safety-minded
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. or more
• Have excellent customer service skills
