The All Star Agency LLC is Hiring a Freezer Warehouse Worker Near Austin, TX
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under general direction of an assigned supervisor, perform general warehouse work in cold storage freezers;
receive, sort, stock, rotate, inspect, pull orders, and maintain inventory control in a reasonable, timely manner to
provide high quality services to sites and departments; deliver food, food service equipment and food service
supplies to sites as needed.
Summary of Representative Duties:
Under general direction of an assigned supervisor, perform general warehouse work in cold storage freezers;
receive, sort, stock, rotate, inspect, pull orders, and maintain inventory control in a reasonable, timely manner to
provide high quality services to sites and departments; deliver food, food service equipment and food service
supplies to sites as needed.
Summary of Representative Duties:
- Material Handling: Receive, unload, tag, store, and inventory various goods in a safe and efficient manner.
- Order Fulfillment: Process daily requisitions, fill orders, and stage food and supply orders for timely delivery to sites.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, stretch wrap machine, and other warehouse equipment. Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with staff and sites regarding deliveries, inventory, and order issues.
- Quality Control: Observe and report any quality control problems promptly to ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Custodial Duties: Perform custodial duties to keep the warehouse clean, safe, and orderly.
- Assistance with Truck Loads: Assist with incoming/outgoing truck loads related to food services needs.
- Education and Experience: High school graduation and two years of warehouse experience in storekeeping activities.
- Licenses and Requirements: Valid Class B driver's license and valid insurance
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Methods and practices in delivering supplies and equipment.
- Warehousing procedures and terminology.
- Safe handling and storage of food inventory.
- Traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and rules of the road.
- Interpersonal skills, proper lifting techniques, and basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Ability to:
- Follow shipping and warehouse guidelines.
- Transport pallets safely in freezers.
- Learn and apply proper stocking procedures.
- Maintain routine records accurately.
- Work independently with little direction.
- Analyze situations and adopt effective courses of action.
- Read, write, and follow oral and written directions effectively in English.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse individuals.
Working Conditions:
Environment:
- Warehouse environment, driving a vehicle, exposure to fumes, cold temperatures, working with machinery, subzero temperatures in freezers, and driving in adverse weather conditions.
Physical Abilities:
- Dexterity to operate equipment, climbing stairs, sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, carrying, pushing or pulling packages, bending at the waist, lifting heavy objects, reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally.
