The AI Institute is building an environment that fosters the kind of blue-sky thinking found in academic labs and quickly drives it to practice through development discipline and resources more common to top-tier industry teams As a Robot Data Collection Technician, you will be working with a team of Engineers to conduct accurate and efficient data collection across multiple research programs. You will play a crucial role in gathering and organizing data generated by robots to improve their performance and advancing their capabilities and usefulness. This position requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities
Utilize specialized software and tools to collect high quality data generated by robots during operation.
Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of sensors, cameras, and other data collection equipment attached to robots.
Monitor data streams in real-time to identify anomalies, errors, or inconsistencies.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to data collection systems and coordinate repairs as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of data collection activities, including timestamps, parameters, and metadata.
Present findings and insights to cross-functional teams in clear and accessible formats.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Experience working with robotic systems and data collection technologies.
Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems, including command-line interfaces and shell scripting.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting software and hardware components in a Linux environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
