Primary Purpose :
Provide substance abuse group counseling services to clients in accordance with OASAS and Agency rules and regulations.
Responsibilities :
1. Works cooperatively with Director of Residential to meet the Group treatment needs of each client.
2. Provides group facilitation to clients, this includes motivation, support, and encouragement for client goals.
3. Collects urine drugs screens and breathalyzer testing for clients. Prepares all paperwork related to routine and random urine and drug screens.
4. Monitors clients for medical, mental health, safety and security issues. Monitors client medication schedules, following program procedure and protocols.
5. Prepares all group notes and documentation. Assumes responsibility for managing and reporting incidents.
7. Will be required to work in other residential buildings and ACCA locations as needed.
8. Make calls to local ambulance service, fire department, police, or CDPC, as needed.
Education Requirements : Candidate must have completed 350 hours for CASAC, and minimum of High School Diploma.
License Requirements : Candidate must be credentialed as a CASAC-T, and have a NYS Driver's License. CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
