Thayer Infrastructure Services (TIS) and its affiliated companies is Hiring a Fleet - Manager, Fleet Operations Near Warren, MI

Job Summary:The Fleet Manager reports directly to the Director of Fleet Operations and is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective leadership of the Fleet Division. This position requires a self-starter with a desire to drive continuous improvement within the department through clear communications and directions to the team. Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise and support maintenance, operations and repairs of fleet and equipment Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Establish relationships with our customers, vendors and account holdersMentor, train and develop the maintenance team Ensuring compliance of all company procedures and policies as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulation (EPA, OSHA, DOT, ADA and EEOC)Approve weekly timesheets, Concur and invoices Handling all contractual services to include administrative functions, operations, information systems, parts purchasing and inventory control. Assist the Director of Fleet with the management of the P<racking Fleet KPI’s, cost of ownership and knowledge of the fleet, current issues, and areas for continuous improvement Maintain and control parts inventories Ensuring services are provided within budget and action plans developed and implemented to improve operational efficiencies Working closely with our operational partners to determine need and increase communication and teamwork Assessing resource needs, problems, trends and plans accordingly Assuring a safe working environment Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to the Director of Fleet OperationsAdditional job duties and assignments at the discretion of the Director of Fleet Education and Experience:Applicable heavy equipment repair certifications and experienceMinimum of 3 years supervisory experienceDemonstrated experience in creating processes, goal-setting and training Goal orientated with strong decision-making skillsExceptional organizational skills, time management and multitasking abilities with attention to detailCDL Required Preferred:Familiarity with utility vehiclesBasic math and data analysis skillsFamiliarity with fleet management softwareAdvanced level knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite programs Work Environment:The Fleet Manager will work in many environments including an office setting, within a shop and out in the field in all weather conditions.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbsStand and sit for long periods of timeWork in various weather conditions Ability work in loud environments and around exhaust and fumes
