Skills, Qualifications, and Attributes

• Experience teaching Physical Education and Wellness at the appropriate grade levels
• Coaching experience preferably in basketball
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
• Experience partnering with other educators to create interdisciplinary learning experiences for students
• Ability to communicate high expectations and standards for student learning and well-being
• Understanding of and sensitivity to adolescent challenges
• Ability to think broadly and creatively about student-centered learning
• Commitment to providing candid and constructive feedback to students
• Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion
• Ability to scope and sequence student learning experiences in collaboration with other faculty
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Arkansas Teaching Certification required
