TFP Nutrition is Hiring a FORKLIFT OPERATOR Near Nacogdoches, TX

JOB PURPOSE

Warehouse/Truck loader is responsible for loading and receiving freight. Also the loader is responsible for product rotation and warehouse sanitation.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to warehouse manager.
  • Drive a fork-lift
  • Operate wrapping equipment.
  • Follow all shipping SOP’s.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Load trucks.
  • Rotate product in warehouse.
  • Warehouse sanitation.
  • Unload trucks.
  • PM as assigned.
  • Maintenance as assigned.
  • Projects as assigned.
  • Prepare overseas containers for loading.
  • Complete shipping documents.
  • Inventory requirements.
  • Be trained and fully qualified in the FSM and HACCP food safety program.

AUTHORITY

To act within established limits. This position will NOT be covered by any personnel that is not fully trained to perform all aspects of the job. Manpower shortages will typically be covered by using overtime to complete loading schedule. Any employee that fills a vacancy as loader will have training on the FSM and HACCP and be fully qualified. Plant management, specifically the warehouse supervisor will be available for consultation and guidance if issues arise that are beyond the operators understanding.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Drive and operate a fork-lift.
  • Lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day.
  • Able to bend, stoop, lift, crouch, climb, kneel, continuously throughout the day.

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Good math and reading skills.
  • Able to load shipments with limited supervision.
  • Follow special instructions.
  • Complete paperwork assigned for freight loads received and shipped.
  • Use a camera.
  • Know the products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Dusty conditions that may require a respirator and eye protection.
  • Non-climate controlled environment.
  • High traffic area.
  • Noisy area that may require hearing protection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

  • Forklift Operators: 1 year (Required)
  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Required)

Work Location: In person
