Reports to: Principal Engineer 

Responsibilities & Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):

• Design and Implement Test Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for both new and existing software products to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Test Automation: Use Playwright, Selenium, and other automation tools to create, maintain, and improve automated test scripts.

• Load & Performance Testing: Create and conduct load and performance (L&P) tests to identify systemic breakpoints and improve system performance.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform and Docker for managing and deploying test environments in a scalable and efficient manner.
• Cloud Services: Leverage Azure and AWS for cloud-based testing solutions, ensuring optimal integration and scalability.
• Version Control: Proficient use of Git and GitHub for source code management and collaboration.
• Programming Languages: Develop and maintain test scripts using TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Java, and PHP (is a plus).
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek to improve testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Playwright and Selenium.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools, preferably Grafana K6.
• Familiarity with chaos engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), particularly Terraform and Docker.
• Proficiency in cloud services (Azure and/or AWS).
• Strong understanding of Git and GitHub.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Java, and PHP is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
