The role of Audio/ Visual Estimator serves as a technical resource supporting TFE in all business development matters. This position is responsible to provide quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation to TFE sales staff and RFP bid responses. He/she is responsible for supporting the sales teams in a timely manner.

General Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

· Provide overall RFP/Bid management on assigned task.

· Provide Technical Sales Assistance.

· Quality Assurance and Organizational Effectiveness

· Review technical aspects of bids and proposals.

· Create take-offs and submittals.

· Create and maintain quotes on TFE quote forms.

· Manage task list and communicate updates effectively.

· Develop technical portion of executive summaries.

· Develop scope of work (SOW) for proposed solutions.

· Develop caveats, exceptions, and terms and conditions for proposed solutions.

· Provide documentation to support pricing in quote, for example quotes from distributors and/or manufacturers.

· Respond to PR and ASI requests for awarded projects.

· Provide take-off’s and submittal drawings to necessary participants such as Project Leads and consultants

· Maintain product knowledge on A/V solution offerings by TFE.

· Investigate products/solutions to ensure proper fit with customer.

· Collaborate with sales, design engineers and/or customers, when necessary.

· Recommend new products/services, when applicable.

· Work with peer estimators on large quotes to ensure accuracy in measurements, materials, counts, and any other relevant information to providing accurate quotes.

· Work with manager to review quotes periodically for accuracy.

· Evaluate pre-construction submittals and close-out documentation.

· Collaborate with field techs and/or project managers for feedback on continuous improvement

· Work with the Account Manager, manufacturer representatives, and distributors to establish price advantages over the competition leveraging programs and project registrations.

· Ensure that product is being quoted to maximize TFE incentive or rebate programs from the manufacturers

· Develop and maintain a cohesive work environment with sale and estimation staff.

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in A|V installations and/or estimations.
• Multiple manufacturer certifications are a plus, CTS or CTS-D certification preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and project.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong math and attention to details required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Ability to look at situations from several points of view.
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work hours periodically that are outside of our normal business hours.
• Great degree of dexterity needed to complete repeat manual computer related tasks.
