Job Summary

As the Website Manager, you play a key role in shaping our online presence and creating the optimal user experience that aligns with our organization's mission, branding, and style. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize our website, ensuring it serves as an effective tool for communication, engagement, and impact. With your expertise in website management, user experience (UX), and technical skills, you will contribute to enhancing our digital outreach, engaging our diverse stakeholders, and furthering our mission to create positive change around the world.

In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining and updating our website to ensure its functionality, responsiveness, and accuracy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement content strategies that effectively communicate our organization's mission, values, and impact. Your ability to manage website design, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement search engine optimization strategies will be critical. Additionally, you will use analytics tools to track website performance, derive actionable insights, and continually improve the user experience. Security and data privacy will also be within your purview to ensure that our digital presence complies with regulations and best practices.

This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a global team of passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive difference. By effectively managing our website, you will facilitate the dissemination of critical information, engage stakeholders, and drive our initiatives forward.

Like all roles at Textile Exchange, the role will be home-based with some travel required. Candidates must be available to work across Asian, European and US time zones.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop Textile Exchange's website strategy. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and requirements for projects. Ensure alignment with the overall vision and guidelines.
  • Website Maintenance: Ensure the website is consistently updated, secure, and functioning properly.
  • Content Management: Create, edit, and publish high-quality content that aligns with the organization's goals and engages the audience.
  • User Experience (UX) Optimization: Improve website usability, navigation, and design to enhance the user experience.
  • Technical Oversight: Monitor and address technical issues, including website speed, compatibility, and functionality.
  • Website Integrations: Manage website integrations with Salesforce, Azure, ESRI platforms and/or apps via API.
  • Domain management: Manage all domain and hosting and ensure domain registration and hosting are current.
  • SEO Strategy: Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize web analytics tools to track website performance, gather insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align website initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure website security measures are in place and that the site complies with data privacy regulations.
  • Managerial Duties: Manage the internal team that supports the Website.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Social Media Integration: Integrate social media platforms with the website to foster content sharing and audience engagement.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members contributing to website content and maintenance.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for website-related expenses, including hosting, software licenses, and development projects.

 
Job Requirement

  • 5 years of experience in web design and development with proven experience successfully managing and updating websites.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Content Management Systems and in particular WordPress.
  • Experience with Salesforce, and in particular Salesforce Community Cloud is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with web design and UX.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and backend revisions/improvements.
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (eg Google Analytics).
  • In-depth understanding and applications of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) / SEM (Search Engine Marketing).
  • Knowledge of current trends in web development and cross-browser/mobile compatibility issues and workarounds.
  • Experience converting business requirements to technical solutions.
  • Experience in managing website implementation, improvement, and integration projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal skills, self-starter.
  • Bachelor’s degree in web design, web development, or equivalent.
  • Experience with leading a team in a Manager position preferred. 

Employment Package

  • Reports to: Internal Systems, Senior Manager
  • Full-Time Position, 40 hours a week
  • Location: Virtual/Remote
  • Must be able to work in US timezone
  • Salary Range: USD 62,000 - 94,000 USD
  • Textile Exchange is currently unable to provide sponsorship for work permits. Candidates need to have existing right to work in nominated working location.
  • Our offers for salary and benefits are dependent on the region of the final candidate. We post most positions based on a US-based Team member but final offers are done in alignment with the final candidate's permanent residence and in line with Textile Exchange's regional employment package.
