Texas Trust Credit Union is Hiring a System Administrator Near Arlington, TX

Responsible for the implementation, expansion and day-to-day administration and backup of specific servers, physical and virtualized, and Storage Area Network within the Local/Wide Area Network. Specifically:
  • Manage production systems and software on virtualized and physical servers that is used by the organization and its users;
  • Manage backup solutions of the virtualized, physical and Storage Area Network (SAN) providing data protection and storage to the virtualized environment;
  • Ensure the physical and virtual server farm and SAN are adequately monitored;
  • Produce and maintain documentation for all systems related to area of responsibility;
  • Provide input to be used to produce weekly and monthly reports including, but not limited to, all system issues and the status of the servers and Storage Area Network;
  • Assist in training the IT Support Technicians to respond to common virtual systems issues;
  • accept and respond to IT Help Desk tickets related to areas of responsibility;
  • Oversee and work closely with vendor technical support for all system related concerns, issues and updates in area of responsibility;
  • Basic support of VMWare Virtual Machines and other virtual server environments, and keep all systems patched and updated;
  • Apply Windows updates, after testing in a test environment, to all servers and desktops;
  • Create test servers as needed to support the implementation of new products or testing upgrades to existing products;
  • Administer and maintain user and group accounts in Active Directory and other access control systems;
  • Provide industry standard system administration practices to all servers to ensure servers provide the highest level of availability and performance possible at all times;
  • Work with Disaster Recovery team to design, implement, test and maintain a Disaster Recovery facility of virtualized systems;
  • Work closely with the Core System team concerning servers and products that interact with the Symitar/Episys Core system;
  • Work closely with the Imaging System Administrator to configure, maintain and resolve any issues with servers under their direct administration responsibilities;
  • Presents a helpful and positive attitude, focusing on solutions and promoting a collaborative environment at all times

  • Comply with established regulations and law requirements
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Experience
  • 2 year College degree with emphasis in Information Systems or demonstrated qualifying experience desired;
  • Experience managing a virtualized server environment, VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V Server required;
  • Minimum of 3 years System Administration experience required.
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required
  • Proficient in Linux, Microsoft Server 2012/2019, Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019/Exchange Cloud and Microsoft Windows software;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work without direct supervision and maintain a high degree of concentration required;
  • Veeam backup & replication knowledge is desired.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure & Office 365 administration is desired.
  • Knowledge of tape media industry standard is desired.
  • MS SQL experience desired.
  • Requires an organized, detail-oriented self-starter who is able to work independently;
  • Strong processing, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong listening skills and communication skills;
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality;
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to member satisfaction;
  • Required to handle all member information in a confidential manner;
  • Professional written and verbal communications skills;
