Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial roofing construction and management, with the ability to oversee all aspects of roofing projects from start to finish. As a key member of our team, the Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities on-site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and material procurement. Ensure project timelines are met and milestones achieved.

2. On-Site Supervision: Provide on-site leadership and supervision to roofing crews, subcontractors, and other personnel. Monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols. Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.

3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that roofing installations meet industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and address any deficiencies promptly.

4. Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote awareness and prevent accidents.

5. Resource Management: Manage labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to optimize productivity and minimize waste. Coordinate deliveries and logistics to ensure timely availability of resources as needed for the project.

6. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders regarding on-site activities, progress updates, and any concerns or inquiries. Maintain open lines of communication to address client needs and ensure satisfaction.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders. Generate comprehensive reports as required by company management, clients, or regulatory agencies.

8. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner. Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roofing construction, with a proven track record of success in supervisory roles.

- Thorough knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.

- OSHA certification and commitment to promoting a culture of safety on construction sites.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or degrees in construction management or related fields preferred.
