Position: Quality Assurance Technician

Supervisor: Quality Assurance Manager

Back-up (if applicable): Quality Assurance Assistant

Job Summary:

Performs technical assistance to the Quality Assurance Department as directed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with verifying food safety, defense, quality and SQF documentation.
• Assist with the laboratory testing as requested by the QA Manager.
• Prepares and verifies labels on manufacturing work orders.
• Pull the required number of boxes, and put the labels on each box.
• Transferring the boxes to the production area to meet their production requirements.
• Maintaining inventory on gloves, labels, masks, hair nets, beard nets, trash bags, strip clips, aprons, cleaning supplies, and other processing items as necessary.
• All staff must report any known food safety issues to supervisor.
• All staff has the authority to place on hold any products and/or equipment that do not meet Texas Star Nut and Food Co., Inc. food safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be detailed oriented.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team interaction skills.
• Trained in food safety and quality.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to comply with all safety and cleanliness requirements

Abilities Required:

• Ability to climb ladders/steps and work on platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
