Texas Professional Engineering LLC is Hiring a Project Engineer (H&H) Near Conroe, TX

 
General: This job posting is intended to apply to a range of experience levels. The Job Description encompasses the general role but responsibility and compensation will be in accordance with experience. Education/License/Experience Requirements are minimums.
Location: Conroe, TX; Ottawa, KS; Relocation assistance or Hybrid/Remote working arrangements available for non-local candidates depending on the candidate's ability to perform tasks independently.
Job Description: The Project Engineer (Hydraulics and Hydrology) performs water resources engineering analysis and drainage design recommendations while helping to lead and develop engineering staff. The engineer in this position regularly works as a part of a team and may lead a small project team as H&H project manager. Work is commonly associated with drainage and floodplain studies in support of the development of single-family subdivisions or commercial site development - working with land development staff, external consultants, and clients to deliver projects. The projects will consist of hydraulic analysis, detention design, drainage studies, and floodplain studies in urban, suburban, and rural areas. This work will involve coordination with, and approval from, multiple jurisdictions and agencies in the greater Houston metro area. As such, the H&H project engineer is responsible for performing analysis, recommending designs, and producing necessary reports that meet varying criteria and incorporate a wide array of solutions. Studies and applications to FEMA will be required from time to time. The H&H project engineer will typically work in partnership with a land or site development project manager for successful delivery of development projects. 

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science (BS) in STEM field that meets TBPELS requirements for licensure as a Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering major preferred).

Minimum Licensure Requirements: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas. If licensed in another state, the ability to obtain licensure in Texas within six (6) months of start of employment.

Minimum Experience Requirements: four (4) years of relevant work experience in the field of civil engineering performing H&H analysis. Experience master-planned residential development for private clients preferred.
