Position Title : BMT Registered Nurse
Location : Denver, CO 80218
Position Overview :
The BMT Registered Nurse position is open at a renowned medical center located in Denver, CO. The facility is known for its advanced care and has been recognized for its high-quality patient care and safety standards. The center offers a wide range of services, including the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute, which provides top-notch care for patients facing blood cancers.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and direct the care of BMT/Oncology patients.
- Provide care for blood and marrow transplant patients, patients with hematologic/oncologic disorders, and other patients meeting BMT admissions criteria.
- Serve as the primary nurse, ensuring well-coordinated patient care.
- Administer and manage chemotherapy/biotherapy, including investigational protocols.
- Handle management of patients with radiation implants, central venous access devices, spinal drains, and more.
- Participate in bone marrow biopsy and aspiration, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and other procedures.
- Ensure patient care aligns with the mission of the medical center.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse; BLS - Healthcare provider.
- ACLS required within 9 months.
- ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card required within the first 9 months of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- At least one year of acute care experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and team management skills.
- Shift: 7P - 7A (Only Night Shift Available)
- The unit primarily sees patients with Leukemia, Lymphomas, Various Auto Immune Disorders, MS, etc.
