Job Summary: The Director of the Emergency Services Department plays a crucial role in ensuring consistent high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include service assurance, personnel management, resource allocation, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• 📊 Identify and implement solutions to real/potential problems affecting service quality.
• 🤝 Participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication.
• 📈 Advance the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department.
• 🏋️ Coach and provide feedback to subordinates, facilitating their development.
• 💼 Adhere to all Human Resource policies and effectively communicate departmental information.
• 🔍 Enforce standards of emergency department care and develop processes for compliance monitoring.
• 🔄 Develop, implement, and evaluate ongoing emergency services programs to ensure quality patient care.
• 🔒 Monitor compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards, ensuring patient safety.
• 🏅 Oversee a PI program to monitor and evaluate critical aspects of care.

Qualifications:

• 🎓 Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
• 💼 3 years of experience in emergency services and leadership roles.
• 💉 Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in Virginia.
• 🚑 ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and BLS certifications required.
