Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse - Infusion, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in an infusion setting. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure the safe and effective administration of medications and treatments. Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous medications and treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy to ensure their safety and well-being
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and provide education on medication administration and side effects
- Perform venipuncture and maintain accurate documentation of all procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (such as Epic) to document patient information accurately
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or assisted living setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture and administering injections
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients on medication administration and side effects
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
