Texas Hydraulics Inc. is Hiring an ECN Administrator Near Temple, TX

Job Summary
Proper change management is essential for Texas Hydraulics and this position will operate as the change hub that interacts with all departments. A strong understanding of the Texas Hydraulics business and operating model will ensure that the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) Administrator is successful completing their essential goals. The core function of the ECN Administrator is to translate Engineering intent into manufacturing requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Owns and manages ECO (Engineering Change Order) process from request to production
  • Determines effectivity of change requests (external and Internal).
    1. Ensures proper run-off of inventory
    2. Manage commercial and customer expectations on effectivity of new product releases and revisions
    3. Ensure new and revised BOMs are maintained with 100% accuracy
  • Works with Costing to safeguard against margin erosion, and present opportunities for margin improvement to Engineering and Commercial Team
  • Facilitates weekly meetings with cross-functional team to ensure THI maintains 95% OTD to customer request
  • Responsible for maintaining and presenting KPI at Daily Meetings – Open Projects (by aged) and completed projects on time.
  • Communicates with stakeholders when there are date or inventory constraints
  • Oversees ECO workflows within Oracle and PDM Windchill
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings to ensure all parameters are input and validated in the ERP system before releasing changes to production
  • Ensures accuracy of Bill of Material by validating all attributes are correctly populated
  • Coaches and trains other department stakeholders in the ECO change process elevating THI’s proficiency in change management.
  • Updates Oracle Items with make or buy attributes, following a financial review and completion of Approval form
  • Maintains and communicates BOM requirement changes to released work orders
  • Support Finance and Supply Chain objectives pertaining to BOM and inventory valuation changes
  • Conducts monthly audit to detect and analyze items that are missing correct attributes. Remits these to ECO change process for immediate remediation
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Hands on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite of application on release R12.1 and higher
  • Experience with ASCP and Oracle Manufacturing processes
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite and how various modules interact with each other along with knowledge of foundation level AOL (Applications Object Library)
  • Good working knowledge Windchill 12.0 or similar PDML system
  • Have a team-oriented approach
  • Should have strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be willing to work in an energetic, fast paced and team-oriented development environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively is a necessity
  • Functional level support and leadership in identifying and implementing new projects and required training
  • University Degree/Preferably in a field related to computer science/software engineering or finance/accounting
  • Oracle certification a plus
  • Experience with Shop Floor Manufacturing, Subcontracting, and Complex Bills of Material a plus.

Experience

  • Demonstrated hands on functional understanding of pertinent IT systems
  • Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
