As the corporate office to a diverse family of businesses operating primarily in the retail cellular industry, Cellular World Management is seeking a talented, passionate individual to fill the role of HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will play a vital role in handling various HR functions, with a strong focus on employee relations and performance management. The HR Generalist is responsible for fostering positive relationships between employees and the organization and critical to maintaining a healthy and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is expected to be proactive, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented, capable of providing comprehensive support to all facets of the HR Department. Moreover, the flexibility for hybrid work adds to the appeal of this role based in Fort Worth, TX.
Duties
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Partner with Operations as the primary contact for human resources guidance and interpretation of existing policies and procedures. Provide day-to-day guidance on counseling and disciplinary actions. Ensure fair and consistent application of all policies and procedures.
  • Conduct employee-related investigations associated with a variety of employee-related issues and/or conflicts, incidents or complaints. Resolve disputes and recommend appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of programs or information regarding HR policies, procedures or information.
  • Assist in the ongoing assessment, development and communication of HR policies and procedures. Aid managers and employees in the ongoing understanding of and applying best practices related to all policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the annual updating of all documents, handbooks and compensation plans.
  • Ensure annual documents are provided timely and manage through completion. Assign and send reminders as needed.
  • Review, analyze and report on employment data received through periodic surveys.
  • Create and implement individual and/or group training on a variety of HR tools, policies and procedures, management training and topics as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR programs.
  • Annual compliance reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and departmental help as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5 years broad HR knowledge within professional environment.
  • 2 years of HR employee relations and performance management experience, preferably with a multi-location employer.
  • Associate degree or Higher in Human Resources or Related Business Field.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification Preferred.
  • Specific knowledge of human resources practices related to employment law/compliance, compensation, organizational development, leadership development, hiring/termination processes, and risk management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, resolve conflict and effectively coach both managers and employees.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with the understanding and knowledge to know when to escalate.
  • Experience with handling sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly using primarily self-guided training resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably communicate and form relationships with employees at all levels and with external parties.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, retain instruction and learn new tasks with minimal instruction.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to frequent changes, and handle high volume calls and emails while maintaining deadlines amidst conflicting priorities.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours including weekends when necessary.
  • Friendly individual who is happy to problem solve and collaborate with various HR team members to establish solutions.
